Banon affair "a fantasy version," according to DSK

Sunday evening September 18, on TF1, Dominique Strauss-Kahn has shown little to say on the matter Banon, sweeping claims in three sentences to explain Claire Chazal. "It's an ongoing case, so I will not comment any more," he said after explaining that in this meeting, "there was no aggression, no violence." In early July, filed a complaint against Tristane Banon DSK, accusing it of attempting to rape her in February 2003, in an apartment in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, when she questioned him for a book she was preparing.

The version without "any violence" of the old favorite of the President's what happened that day contrasts with that of the young woman. In July, in an interview with L'Express, told Banon Tristane a scene much more raw. She explained they had to struggle and escape after DSK put his "fingers in the mouth (...) his hands in [his] pants after [him] to have blown up the jeans and the bra, under [his] neck black turtleneck. "

COMPLAINT

"It's a fantasy version and slanderous," defended Strauss-Kahn to Claire Chazal, recalling in this context that he had filed a complaint for false accusation.

The Paris prosecutor will soon decide on what action it wishes to give the preliminary investigation conducted by officers of the Brigade of fighting crime against the person (BRDP). The latter, after a lengthy hearing Tristane Banon, convened in the summer of the various witnesses that the girl had given. Lack of material, or direct witness of the scene, they sought to verify the statements of the woman interviewing his relatives on the version that they had delivered at the time.

DSK returned to France, investigators have heard, September 12. According to information published on the website of L'Express, September 16, conceded he would "have tried to kiss her thinking she was consenting." "Tristan Banon would then rejected. DSK would not have insisted and the young woman is a party, he said, quite normally." The investigation is complete, it will be the Paris prosecutor to file the complaint without further action or, conversely, to entrust the case to a judge. It can also be argued that the scene is sexual assault, not attempted rape. The facts would then be prescribed.
