Hacker

Nine prefectures websites have been closed since late July after hacking a hosting platform outside the Interior Ministry, said here today with the voice of the place Beauvau.

"A platform of accommodation outside the Interior Ministry, which housed several websites prefecture was the victim of a cyber attack and nine prefectural sites were closed on July 24," said Pierre-Henry Brandet. However, he said, "at any time of the personal data of users or agents of the prefecture have been stolen."

He said "only passwords for administrators to change only the appearance of the home pages were possibly being stolen." Complaints "have been or will be filed," said Brandet.

Have been affected by these closures the prefectures of the departments of Charente Côtes-d'Armor Deux-Sèvres, Hauts-de-Seine, Landes, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Channel and Pas-de-Calais. "Hundreds of IT incidents, no impact and often passing unnoticed by users are recorded each year at sites of the Ministry of the Interior, including those of prefectures," he noted.
